DOJO Madness harnesses the power of big data to build tools and services that help players and fans to understand and master their favorite esports games.

DOJO’s first line of products, the SUMO apps, are virtual coaching apps for League of Legends, Overwatch, and Dota 2. LOLSUMO, OVERSUMO, and DOTASUMO provide personalized guides and actionable insights based on individualized game data for over one million monthly active users. DOJO recently acquired coaching marketplace,, adding a human coaching layer to their product offerings.

In addition, DOJO Madness has launched SHADOW.GG, a SaaS platform providing analytics & data visualizations for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, League of Legends, and Dota 2 professional teams, that dramatically improves how teams prepare for and analyze matches. DOJO Madness also offers a B2B data service that provides high-quality solutions for live in-game betting in esports.

DOJO Madness has 45 full time employees, and has raised a total of $12.75M in funding from backers including The Raine Group, March Capital Partners, London Venture Partners, DN Capital, K Cube Ventures, Kristian Segerstrale and the Investment Bank of Berlin (IBB).

Since graduating with a degree in software development in the late 90’s, Jens founded and led multiple startups in tech, games, and foremost, the Esports business. In 2000, he founded Turtle Entertainment. As CEO for ten years, Jens grew the company into the world's most prestigious eSports brand and, along with it, paved the way for eSports to go mainstream. In 2010, he transitioned to Chairman of the Board. After relocating to Berlin in 2011, Jens began to actively invest in and support startups in the gaming space. In addition to leading DOJO Madness, Jens invests in eSports companies with his investment vehicle BITKRAFT.

Markus Fuhrmann


Markus co-founded Delivery Hero, the Berlin-based food delivery unicorn, currently valued at over three billion dollars. Prior to Delivery Hero, Markus was a Partner at Team Europe, co-founded the Web2Asia incubator, was an advisor at the Austrian VC firm Gamma Capital Partners and has made various angel investments in internet startups. In addition to his role at DOJO Madness, Markus invests in Esports companies through his investment vehicle BITKRAFT.

Chris is a fifteen year veteran in the Esports space building companies including an Esports League and a social network for gamers. An expert in product and design, Chris previously worked in-house and built his own agency with major clients including Red Bull. In 2014, Chris moved to Berlin and co-founded DOJO Madness, where he currently acts as CCO.
